Using Zoom
We use Zoom as our platform to meet. I think it is very simple platform, and you only need to click the link when it arrives and it will open Zoom for you in your internet browser or Zoom app if you have it downloaded.
You are very welcome to have your camera on or off, and join in the chat as much as possible.
Zoom do have a Getting started guide for new users , video tutorials including Audio and Video basics. I highly recommend this last one for the basics.
There are phone specific tutorials too.
iPad - disable ‘Centre Stage’
Center Stage uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing Ultra Wide camera when you use video apps such as FaceTime on your compatible iPad model or Mac connected to Studio Display. As you move around, Center Stage helps keep you and anyone else with you in the frame.
HOWEVER, the movement of the camera can affect some other attendees, so we recommend people turn this feature off.
How to turn on or turn off Center Stage
During a video call in FaceTime, or when using video in a compatible app, open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right edge of your screen on iPad, or click the Control Center icon in the menu bar on Mac.
Tap or click the Video Effects button [small green video camera logo]
Tap or click the Center Stage button [grey person icon] to turn it on or off.
That’s it!

Changing your name on Zoom
To change your name on Zoom (perhaps to add your Instagram handle) during a meeting, you can do the following:
Join a meeting in the Zoom desktop client
Click Participants in the in-meeting controls
Hover over your name and click the ellipses
Click Rename
Enter your new display name in the pop-up box

The name change is temporary and will not be saved for future meetings
