Virtual Sewing Room is inviting self-employed individuals and small business owners in the textile craft industry to socialise together.

Building on the success of our regular sessions, Virtual Sewing Room(VSR) is launching an online social space dedicated to business owners centred around sewing, knitting, needlework, and other textile crafts.

The VSR: Professional Network strives to replicate the relaxed environment using our four core values;

Inclusive. Respectful. Connecting. Supportive.

Professional Network members can join a monthly Zoom call to connect with others. Members can bring their own drink and snack of choice.

Whether you want to use it as a break from work, share frustrations, or ask for advice for your business, you are invited to join a session for the cost of a hot beverage.

Who can join the VSR: Professional Network?

You can become a member;

• if you are looking to connect with other people in an informal online setting.

• whether your business is new (like Virtual Sewing Room) or well established.

• if you are self-employed or run a small-medium enterprise(SME) in the textile craft industry.
  Whether you design pattern or kits, sell fabric and supplies, or inspire fabric, yarn and thread enthusiasts in another way, please do consider joining.

VSR: Professional Network is still new and developing. I welcome to suggestions and feedback.

Do I need to be sewing or knitting during the Zoom call?

No. Unlike our regular sessions, you do not have to be working on a craft during sessions. The sessions are designed to be for social connection with other people in the industry.

That said, you are welcome to be working on a project whilst socialising!
